Putin Envoy Proposes $8 Billion Underwater Tunnel Linking Russia and Alaska Using Musk’s Technology
Kirill Dmitriev, a special envoy of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has proposed an ambitious $8 billion underwater tunnel connecting Russia and Alaska. The project, dubbed the 'Putin-Trump Tunnel,' WOULD span 70 miles across the Bering Strait and leverage technology from Elon Musk's Boring Company to reduce costs from an estimated $65 billion to $8 billion.
Dmitriev claims the tunnel could be completed in less than eight years, positioning it as a symbol of unity between the U.S. and Russia. The proposal revives a Cold War-era concept known as the 'Peace Bridge,' now rebranded with modern tunneling innovations. Musk has not yet publicly responded to the tagged post on X.
